The first time I experienced encaustic art, I was amazed.

 

I spent a few hours in an artist’s studio peering into and touching the luminous artwork  and asking questions while the scent of melting beeswax wafted through the space.

 

The brilliant colors, the translucence of the wax and its depth and beauty opened a new creative door for me. It is still my creative medium of choice.
